Impact is much more than just a Krav Maga school
Krav Maga is about defending serious threats and dealing with potentially life threatening situations. Our role as Instructors at Impact Krav Maga is to prepare students technically, physically and mentally to deal with all aspects of violent confrontations. But our vision of Krav Maga and our school is much more than just that. We wanted to create a welcoming environment for individuals to come together and develop not only their self-defense, fitness and combat skills, but to develop a sense of community, friendship and family.
We know that the hardest part of investing into your training is the first step – overcoming your anticipations, hesitations and even fears to muster the energy (and even courage) to walk through the doors of the gym. Therefore, our vision has always been make that step as easy as possible for all. We do not foster ego driven, macho, competitive attitudes often found in MMA gyms that seem too intimidating to an average person. Neither do we favor the drill-sergeant mentality of some gyms that instill fear in their students. Our environment is demanding, yet fun, encouraging, supportive and motivational. These values are shared by our staff as well as by all of our students that welcome each new member to the school as if we they are family.
We know that the benefits of Krav Maga go beyond just self-defense and fitness. Our students talk of a boost in confidence that translates to all aspects of life outside the confines of the gym. Similarly there are friendships and relationships that are established that are a direct result of sharing your passion with likeminded people. It is not to say that Krav Maga is not the focus of our school. Quite the opposite, authentic, realistic Krav Maga training is the main focus of the school. We never water down or dilute the training. And you can be guaranteed that you will be challenged and pushed further and harder every day to advance your development. But the way we teach Krav Maga nurtures a unique family-like environment where students are eager to learn, grow and develop with each other in a fun and supportive setting.
We have recently celebrated the 3rd year anniversary of our school and we were very lucky to share this event with dozens of our student.
